Gerald's Place was a culinary treasure! I relished the buttermilk biscuits each morning, and the nearby El Paso Tapas Bar was a gem at just 0.3 km. The charming architecture surrounding the B&B was great.
Honestly, everything was fantastic-couldn't think of anything to fault! Just a slight hiccup with the hilly Edinburgh streets that had me catching my breath, but it only added to the adventure and didn't dull my experience.

The dampness in the room became a significant problem after two nights, impacting breathing despite no prior issues. Accessing the private bathroom required navigating through a communal hallway, contrary to expectations of a separate entrance. The layout involved multiple stairs, which could be a challenge for some guests.

An lovely experience with a warm host
We were amazed . Gerald's hospitality. His thoughtful gestures, like having breakfast ready for us on time and encouraging us to rest after our long journey, were helpful. The room was cozy and comfortable, and the location was perfect for exploring all the local attractions. If there was one thing to improve, it would be better ventilation as the dampness affected our stay a bit.

The Superior Beautiful Double or Twin Room was cozy and comfortable. The setup had enough hanging space and tea/coffee facilities, always a plus. I noticed the bathroom wasn't ensuite and required walking through a communal hallway. It was also a bit damp after a few nights, kind of uncomfortable.

My stay at Geraldsplace in Edinburgh was a convenient experience for my transit during my travel. The location of the hotel was one of its biggest advantages, with the nearest airport being just 9 km away. This made it incredibly easy for me to catch my flights to and from the city. Geraldsplace is conveniently located just 1 km from Edinburgh Waverley, the main train station in the city. This allowed for seamless travel connections and made exploring Edinburgh a breeze.
The bathroom was not en-suite, which was an oversight on my part when I booked.
